# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • It takes literally five minutes and feels like something you would order at a beach bar for twelve dollars.
  • The marbled look when the cream hits the soda is genuinely gorgeous and requires zero skill to achieve.
02 -
  • If you pour the soda too fast over the cream, it will foam up and overflow, so take it slow and pour down the side of the glass.
  • Taste your coconut cream before mixing because some brands are vastly sweeter than others, which changes how much syrup you actually need.
03 -
  • Shake the can of coconut cream vigorously before opening or you will get lumps that refuse to dissolve no matter how much you stir.
  • The drink separates as it sits, which is completely normal, so just give it a gentle stir and it looks brand new again.
