01 - 1 cup warm whole milk (240 ml)
02 - 2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
03 - ⅓ cup granulated sugar (67 g)
04 - 4 cups all-purpose flour (480 g)
05 - 1 tsp salt
06 - 2 large eggs, room temperature
07 - ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted (60 g)

→ Filling

08 - ½ cup brown sugar, packed (100 g)
09 - 2 tsp ground cinnamon
10 - 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened (42 g)
11 - 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (150 g)
12 - 1 tbsp all-purpose flour

→ Vanilla Glaze

13 - 1 cup powdered sugar (120 g)
14 - 2 tbsp milk (30 ml)
15 - ½ tsp pure vanilla extract

# Directions:

01 - Combine warm milk and yeast in a large bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
02 - Add sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix thoroughly. Gradually incorporate flour until a soft dough forms.
03 - Knead dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Transfer to a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for 1 hour until doubled in size.
04 - Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Toss blueberries with 1 tablespoon flour in a separate bowl to prevent bleeding.
05 - Roll dough into a 16x12 inch rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture, and distribute floured blueberries.
06 - Roll tightly from the longer side into a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.
07 - Place rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30–45 minutes until puffy.
08 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake rolls for 22–25 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked through.
09 - Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle generously over warm rolls before serving.

# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • The blueberries create these gorgeous purple streaks throughout the swirls while baking
  • That moment when you pull them from the oven and the whole kitchen smells like cinnamon heaven
02 -
  • Over baked rolls become dry faster than you'd expect, so pull them when they're just golden
  • The blueberry juice will turn your filling purple and that's exactly what makes them beautiful
03 -
  • Use dental floss instead of a knife for perfect roll slices
  • Room temperature ingredients prevent lumpy dough and ensure even rising
